Real Life’s history is an incredible story of what happens when Jesus takes over a church. Real Life was formerly First Christian Church of Clermont, but followed the Lord’s leading and changed the vision, mission and name in 2002. While we’re excited about the growth, our focus isn’t on numbers; it’s on the people Jesus died to reach. God is good, and our story is just one of the many miracles that God continues to do today through His church!
In 2008, our Clermont Campus opened it’s new building. Within months of being in the new building, we considered adding a balcony to our auditorium. The growth was exponential and there simply wasn’t enough space. Our growth was big enough to capture the attention of Outreach magazine, who named us the 9th fastest growing church in America.
As part of our growth, God opened the door for what we like to call “Vision Orlando” — the call to start highly effective, high capacity churches throughout Orlando and the surrounding areas. Through amazing opportunities that can only be attributed to God and His goodness, in 2010 we began holding services at Real Life East Orlando.
In three years, we managed to launch four campuses: Real Life Hunter’s Creek, Real Life Altamonte, Real Life UCF, and Vida Real (our Spanish campus located at Real Life Clermont).
This year, we launched another campus in Mount Dora on March 15th. In August, Real Life Clermont moved into its new building that seats 2,200 people per service. We know this is just the beginning of the MORE God has in store for us.
