Preschool Substitute Teachers

These part-time roles will be filling in on an as-needed basis at our preschool at our Mount Dora Campus. Some of the responsibilities of the role include:

• Nurturing and guiding children to promote their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth
• Ensure the health and wellbeing of all children at all times
• Establish and maintain a respectful relationship with parents, families and co-workers
• Follow and adhere to curriculum; learn to plan and implement age appropriate lessons and activities
• Follow guidance of Lead Teacher
• Maintain compliance with CSF, DCF and Real Life policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required
• Interest in furthering education; CDA, FCCPC or degree in field
• Have or obtain DCF state mandated training within first 90 days of employment
• Have or obtain First Aid/CPR certification, Blood-borne Pathogens and Fire Extinguisher training
• Required annual in-service training/CEU’s and training as required for professional growth Work Experience
• Minimum 1yr. experience as a teacher assistant or substitute in an early learning environment
• Evolving knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood Education
