VBS FAQs

1. What age groups can attend VBS?

Graduating Kindergarten students all the way through graduating 5th grade are welcome to have fun at VBS.

2. What does my child need to bring?

All that we ask is that each child comes with a great attitude and if they’d like to contribute kids can bring a donation for Shining Light, an outreach that serves children in India. More about Shining Light below.

Shining Light is an outreach that serves children connected to one of Mid-India’s church plants. These boys and girls live with their families in India, however due to the tremendous socio-economic challenges, it’s difficult for families to provide even the most basic needs. Shining Light is designed to bless and connect families to Jesus and His church. Real Life has had the opportunity to sponsor and care for 9 children through Shining Light for several years. We are able to provide young students with essentials like school supplies, blankets, basic medical needs, and more. All funds raised during VBS will continue our care for our current sponsored kids, with the possibility of sponsoring more. Please also be praying for our 9 sponsored kids in India.

3. How much does it cost?

VBS does not cost families anything for children to attend.

4. Can my child be with their friends?

Absolutely! Make sure to let us know who their friends are so we can help them all get connected.

5. My kids have a special need. Can they attend?

Absolutely! What would VBS be without them? Please contact your campus’ Kid Life Director and let us know ASAP how we can accommodate your child’s needs.

6. Do you need to be a RL member for the kid to participate?

No. VBS is our gift to all families in our communities.
