Mid-India Church Partners is hard at work in 7 states across India and the neighboring country of Nepal. As a result of their work, there are 136 churches operating with over 9,500 people in regular weekly attendance. Pastor Amit serves at one of these churches where he teaches and cares for a group of believers that have only become Christians in the past few years. Despite living in an area where it isn’t popular to be a Christian – and is even dangerous to follow Jesus – this body of believers faithfully meets and strives to live out their beliefs.
Our global outreach program in Myanmar is led by Judah Tangshing. Judah became a Christian at the age of 16 and then attended and graduated from the University of Mandalay in Myanmar. While he was in college, Judah felt God calling him to become a missionary. He then came to the United States to attend Florida Christian College from 1995 – 1997 to receive Christian Leadership training. In 1997, he returned to Myanmar where he and his wife Khaw moved to the town of Wireless outside of Yangon to dedicate themselves to full time ministry.
Real Life is in the early stages of planning that will open up opportunities for global trips (for both individuals and families). Most growing is done by GOING so we believe that taking advantage of these trips will enhance your personal spiritual growth and cultivate a servant’s heart – all while strengthening the church abroad by following and obeying the Great Commission ( Matthew 28:19-20).
