Location: 31205 Round Lake Rd, Mt. Dora, FL 32757
Position: This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position at the Mt. Dora campus preschool.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Nurture and guide children to promote their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth through our curriculum and age appropriate lessons
- Ensure the health and wellbeing of all children at all times
- Establish and maintain a respectful relationship with parents, families and co-workers
- Lead, train, and guide Teacher Assistants and Substitutes
Qualifications:
General Requirements:
- Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Is an immersed believer; an active member of a church
Education:
- HS diploma or GED
- Preferred- BA degree or AS degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or a non-education degree with 18 credits in early childhood education/child care management
- If no degree or out of field, required to have active CDA or FCCPC credential
- Have or obtain training on the CLASS (classroom assessment scoring system)
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2yrs. experience as a teacher and/or administrative support in an early education learning environment.
Skills/Ability:
- Strong working knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood Education and Florida Early Learning and Development Standards
- Leadership and excellent classroom management skills ï‚· Experience working with preschool age children of all ages and abilities
- Experience preparing and implementing age appropriate lesson plans and conducting assessments
- Responsible, respectful and punctual
