COMMUNION

Why do we take communion?

Communion Cup

Every Sunday, during our services, we take time to share communion together. It’s a powerful moment to pause and remember the incredible love, grace, and mercy shown to us through the sacrifice of Jesus.

On the night before He went to the cross, Jesus gathered His disciples for a meal. He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and said, “This is my body, given for you.” Then He took the cup and said, “This is my blood, poured out for you.” That night, He gave us the model for communion—a sacred way to remember His sacrifice.

Ever since, followers of Jesus have taken communion to reflect on that moment and all it means. Around here, we say God’s crazy about you—and nothing proves that more than the cross. Communion is a weekly reminder of that truth.

Who is Communion for?

Communion is a time set apart in our service for those who’ve trusted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior to reflect and remember what He’s done for them.  Everyone is invited to join us as we do that together. You can grab the cup of juice and bread when you walk into one of our auditoriums, on a Sunday morning (gluten-free also available).

Why do we do it every week?

Because there’s nothing more important than what Jesus did for us!  And we never want to forget it. The early church made a habit of remembering through communion every week, and we follow their example today.
